As the name suggests, Facebook Chat for Pidgin allows you to integrate your Facebook chat client with all the others that you've added to Pidgin.
Facebook Chat for Pidgin connects to the Facebook Chat IM service without the need for an API key. It works by logging into the Facebook servers and retrieving your buddy list, so you'll need to enter your Facebook credentials to get access to it. Once you have, you can send and receive messages, add and remove friends, receive notifications, search for Facebook friends, and set your Facebook status.
Everything is seamlessly integrated into Pidgin, just as if you were using any other chat client. There's little to criticize, other than the fact that it might have been nice to have had a link taking you directly to your Facebook account page in Pidgin.
Facebook Chat for Pidgin is a simple plug-in that finally allows you to integrate Facebook with your other chat clients.
